Beting Bemban Besar and Cyrene reef as seen by Richard
We were glad to have Richard join us for the BBB and Cyrene trips. He used mainly ambient sunlight to take some really beautiful photos. As you can probably tell, he is a professional photographer.
At BBB :

A soldier crab.
Half buried sea cucumber.

Tentacles of an upsidedown sea jelly (Cassiopea sp.).

Surface patterns of favid coral.

Frog spawn coral (Euphyllia paradivisa).Euphyllia coral (looks like Euphyllia paraancora).

I’m guessing this is Acropora coral. Looks like Pocillopora (thanks juanicths!).
Cyrene reef :

A lone boulder of coral stands out in the morning sun.

Hugging a coral boulder. Octopuses can be very tenacious and almost impossible to dislodge when clinging onto anything while in panic mode.
